This card I designed for my nephews 3rd Birthday. He had a Pirate Birthday Party which was amazing. To create the card I thought of patterns and colours that can go with Pirates keeping it kid friendly and festive. My inspiration was of course red and white stripes which I had the perfect Big Top Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!, bones, torn paper, jewels, blue ocean, and worn edges or staining. Pirate Birthday Card IdeaI popped up everything using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ‘Happy Birthday’ is done using the Emboss Resist Technique which I sponged red over and then sponged black on the edges for more Piratey feel.

Basis Pearls and Basic Rhinestones are randomly stuck on along with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter as Pirates Treasure. Click on the pictures for close up.

For the bones I cut small strips of paper and punched hearts using the Small Heart Punch for the ends. I didn’t want to put a skull of the card so the Number 3 (his age) on the Scallop Circle above the cross bones allude to a skull and crossbones. Pirate Birthday Card

Super fun and I hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by and have a Glittery Day!
