Well here’s one of my favorite cards I’ve designed using the Merry Winter Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!. With this set I use the clear mount stamp set especially since you can then easily layer the snowman to stand on the sled or even hold the little present stamp that is in the set (not pictured on this card). Clear Mount Stamps allow you to see through the Acrylic Blocks they stick on to see where you are about to stamp. I also used the adorable Mini Jingle Bells from the Holiday Mini Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!. You get 48 bells for $3.95. They also look really sweet used with the Stocking Builder Punch or dangling by a ribbon.
How to DIY:
With this card other than the Mini Jingle Bells and Merry Winter Stamp Set I used Whisper White Card Stock, Pacific Point Card Stock and Stampin’ Write Markers; all Stampin’ Up supplies. The markers allow you to color stamps using multiple colors so that you then can stamp an image like the snowmen below. ie. scarves, hats, buttons, noses are different colors. Don’t forget you must moisten the ink on the stamp before actually stamping or some ink may be dry and will not transfer to your project. To moisten just breath a couple breaths right over the rubber stamp and that will do.
I really mixed up the colors on this card too and didn’t worry about staying to a rigid color scheme. Finally to adhere the Mini Jingle Bells I used Mini Glue Dots. You can also use more bells than I did but I like the simplicity of this card. It’s kind of fun contemporary.
I hope you enjoy this idea and thanks for stopping by!
