Wooden Ribbon SpoolsSo here’s a picture of wooden spools for ribbon, thread or whatever you like. When I see these they really are the ultimate crafting look. They have that wow factor and look amazing even though they are so simple. Call me crazy. They’re vintage storage for ribbon really as you would put your ribbon onto them. I love love love them however I’m not sure if I would ever make the time to put my ribbon onto them…I would like to think I will some day.

They remind me of my childhood when I would look through my mothers sewing drawers or baskets. I actually completely forgot about them until I saw Torie Jayne’s Blog. Now this women Torie is so talented and I have so much respect for her abilities.

The spools themselves are from Jane Means who is apparently known as a ‘Gift Wrap Guru’ in the UK. I will try to see where you can source spools like this at home in Canada and if I do I’ll post it for you. I’ve seen some at Michaels but none as beautiful as these. I think even if I don’t spool my ribbon on them I would like a couple for display as inspiration with some ribbon on them just for fun.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in!
