This Accordion Fold Birthday Card is great card for any milestone birthday. I made this one for my brothers 40th Birthday last spring. The picture above is the inside and you write on the backside. The card front in pictured below. This card folds up to fit an envelope easily. It’s very easy to make but a teeny bit repetitive.
Directions for Candles:
- Cut strips of any Card Stock or Designer Series Paper for the number of candles you need – so 40, 50, 80 – it’s up to you.
- For the flames you can use Daffodil Delight Card Stock and punch the wing from the Stampin’ Up! Bird Builder Punch. If you don’t have that as I don’t simply use the Heart Punch and cut it in half. Make your cut kinda swirl a bit like a flame (just not a dead straight cut).
- Sponge the flames with Pumpkin Pie Ink to create a more dimensional flame.
- Glue your candle sticks and flames to your card.
40 Candles Birthday Card Front I decided on a Pinwheel for the front since Pinwheels are youthful. Then when he opens the card the candles spill out! (not literally of course)
Thanks for stopping by and have a Glittery Day!
